Band History and Photographs

Since the re-formation of the 1st Malvern Company in 1988, the band has been an ever present fixture for Friday nights, and can regularly be seen parading through Malvern for church parades, and also appearing at other events.  For some years the band has been playing across the UK, notably playing with the London Mass BB Band for the Lord Mayors Show, where many of our members were caught on TV. In recent years, we have taken part in a European tour to Belgium and Northern France, commemorating the events of the First World War along with members of other BB and GB bands across the UK.
The band provides a very important skills base for those participating in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme (DofE Scheme).  We provide musical tuition on the company's band instruments.  Many of our band members have not previously played a musical instrument, and being a member of the band provides them with a skill and unique experience.
